Vehicle Movement
- The contractor shall conduct his operation inside premises so as not to interfere with the use of existing roads at
or near locations where the work is being performed.
Procedure for vehicle entry and Speed limits in Process plant should be strictly followed.
Vehicles and cargos passing through process plant should have approved spark flame arrestor fitted.
- The contractor shall exercise full care to ensure that no damage is caused by him or his workforce, to the existing water supply,
sewerage, power or telecommunication lines or any other services or works.
The contractor shall be required to provide and erect before construction, substantial barricades, guardrails and warning signs.
- Vehicles must provide visible green and red flags for the cleaner to guide driver.
- The vehicles employed under premises must be maintained as per the preventive maintenance
schedule of the manufacturer / supplier.
- Vehicles to be inspected fortnightly by trained technicians as per the inspection checklist.
Pre-inspection checklist to be formed to that effect.
- All vehicles to bear a sticker. “Details of over speeding vehicle within the premises shall be informed on telephone no……………..”.
- Tractors should not be used for transporting workforce within the premises.
- Every vehicle should have the contractor's name prominently displayed on Tractor Trolleys, trucks, jeeps, cranes, JCBs, Poclains, trailers.
The display board shall be put on front and rear side of each and every vehicle within the construction site.
- All vehicles inside the process plant premises shall be fitted with spark arrestors.
- On daily basis the contractor shall maintain maintenance logs for every vehicle.
- Any kind of repair work on contractor's vehicle is to be carried out only inside the authorised work shop or designated place.
